The first in a series of our new baking courses focussing on alternative flours.

This Monday course is aimed at people who work already work in the food service industry and are looking to expand their own knowledge for their professional or personal development.

As shift workers, Mondays are our weekend, this session is designed to give you an introductory level understanding of working with rye but if you have worked with it before it will offer you the chance to troubleshoot any challenges you’re facing with it.

Mon 28th April 11am - 3pm

Discover the secrets to baking rich, flavourful, and nutritious sourdough rye bread. Whether you're a home baker or a pro, this hands-on course will teach you how to work with rye flour, master fermentation, and create loaves that you can easily recreate in your own space.

During this course we will make and you will get to take home:

  • sourdough rye loaf

  • rye cake

  • rye sourdough crackers

  • rye sourdough starter

A free vegetarian lunch and filter coffee & tea will be provided on the day.

Please arrive shortly before 11am so we can kick off promptly and don’t forget to bring a bag to take all your goodies home.

This day course is not suitable for coeliacs or anyone with a severe gluten allergy.
